The Jaguar’s Joy

eva rutherford edit for efi

Jaguar is hoping the Type 01 – finally revealed in its production form – is the car to transform its fortunes. @evosamj takes a first look.

India just launched the Jaguar Type 01 in New York. Eighteen years after Tata’s $2.3 billion rescue of the brand from Ford. Indian capital kept the UK factories alive and funded the all-electric restart after Jaguar halted new-car sales, turning a fading name into a high-margin

@Chandan Ganwani

Maybe a hot take, but I think the new all-electric Jaguar Type 01 looks pretty good. Their initial marketing strategy was terrible, but this production version looks good and somewhat cyberpunk like. Now the question is, will anybody buy it. Deliveries start in 2027. $130k

@Sawyer Merritt

This is the all-new Jaguar Type 01, a $130,000 EV that starts deliveries next year. This is the production version.
