Beijing’s “Palm and Five Fingers” strategy exposes how far the CCP’s ambitions reach. Tibet is portrayed as the “palm,” with Xinjiang, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other regions treated as the “fingers” Beijing wants firmly under its control. This is not simply about
