Kilauea Volcano's last eruption #54 was August 25th. On Sept. 4-5th Anak Krakatau blasted lava fountains to ~5000 ft. I think Pele doesn't want to be outdone and has supercharged up and even created a nozzle because she's gunning for a new 2000+ ft lava fountaining record.
