TUNED TO THIS CLIP

Maybe someday commercial aircraft will have giant inflatable flotation systems, but engineering reality says today is not that day. A ditching happens at over 100 knots. The force of hitting the water would rip any external bladders right off the plane, or one bag would catch

High-speed video of 33 Raptor engines powering the Super Heavy booster on Flight 13

A jet falls 14,000 feet in 29 seconds, fast enough that nobody is walking the aisle, and then a plumber who learned to fly from television is credited with defying both the laws of physics and of cockpit security enters the flight deck mid descent, wrestles with the copilot and

Sometimes aviation is more than aircraft, altitude and speed. ✈️ Hours alone in an F-16 cockpit can leave you with nothing but your thoughts — and memories tied to one particular aircraft. Knowing every switch, sound and movement, a pilot can start to see an aircraft as more

Starship’s Raptor engines ignite during hot-staging separation. Super Heavy boosted back towards its splashdown site in the Gulf of America

Slow-motion Starship liftoff on Flight 14. Over 18 million pounds of thrust. This is basically 79 Boeing 777s taking off at once.

🚀🇺🇸 Incredible but true: the F-35B lands like a helicopter… yet it’s a $100 million stealth fighter jet 🤯 Thanks to its VTOL capability, it can take off and land vertically, redefining modern air combat. ✈️🔥

Another explanation of why Israeli plumber Yaniv was able to pull the plane from the dive (both engines were off during the dive). Also it shows that the 2 pilots made a heroic effort and managed to restart both engines simultaneously to fly the plane with a severely damaged tail

That plane's weight is insane!
Love the engineering behind this!
