This is not rain. A sudden wall of mud and water tore through Rasuwa on the Nepal–Tibet border on 26 August. Triggered by an ice-rock avalanche on the Chinese side, the surge raced down the Bhote Koshi into the Trishuli — swallowing villages, a bridge, hydropower sites and roads
