F1 had to delay the October 4 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang, Malaysia, by 50 minutes to deploy a hotfix. A wet-weather software bug hit during the pre-race formation laps, when cars warm up their tires and brakes before the actual race start. Several cars got stuck idling.
