First light Friday morning shows the extent of the damage to NC Hwy 12 at the Outer Banks from this morning's high tide. Sand and water completely cover the road just south of the Basnight Bridge on Pea Island. There's currently no way out for Hatteras/Buxton/Ocracoke.
